Summary Of School's Out-Forever By James Patterson

This book is called School’s Out-Forever, and is written by James Patterson. Max and her flock have been trying for their entire lives to get away from half human, half wolf creatures, Erasers. The main goal of the story is to get the flock safe, keep the flock safe without anyone getting hurt, and to keep their secret identity. The members of the flock are: Max, Fang, Iggy, Gazzy, Nudge, and Angel. Max, the leader, looks out for everybody, and is basically the mom. Unfortunately, the flock has a hard time following their goal because “Erasers poured out of the back of the van before it has even stopped,”(152). The flock recovers at an agent’s house, after Fang was injured badly. Angel, a girl who can read minds, tells Max that nothing bad is going to happen, but something exciting and strange will be brought up in a conversation. As the story goes on, Anne, the agent, surprises the kids that they will be attending school. However, at school, Gazzy and Iggy set off a stink bomb causing the principal to assume that they were the people who did it, calling Max to attend the meeting in the office. “I know that your brothers are guilty. I know you’re protecting them… This is the last time that you’ll get away with anything at this school,”(137). However, Max continues with a fake story and tells the principal that they wouldn’t do anything wrong because their parents are missionaries.
