Scrooge is a man stuck with his own needs and wants. He only does things that help him. Scrooge doesn’t want to salaries because he would be losing personal money. When Bob Cratchit asked for a raise he denied it because money would not be going to him. Ebeneezer Scrooge has little thought for others and lots for himself.

Scrooge is starting to realize people think he is a mean and rude person for the way he acts. He starts to lighten up then something happens that makes him go mean and grouchy again. Scrooge gets scared a lot over the ghosts of Christmas. The Ghost of Christmas future makes Scrooge think about his character more. The ghost shows him that when you're nice people will be nice to you but when you’re mean people will not
