This book is filled with bold pictures using evocative watercolors, follwed by lyrical rhymes. This book captures the life of a typical Iowa family farm. 2. Personal Connection Sarah Shey wrote this book for the intention for her son to know where she grew up. Being that she grew up in Iowa is a big connection for me. I didn’t grow up on a farm, but I got to see all the incredible aspects of Iowa.
