Pain, groveling and other forms of misfortune, what is it about the pain of another individual that helps another person state of mind. The misfortune of others gives an individual relief in a comical way. but to what do we owe and why do we correlate the pain of others to one's own relief. Stephen Kidd goes into depth in his journal about what triggers laughing whether it's the forced laughter , or something within the play that cues laughter. Kidd goes in deeper into the research by going back into the greek origins of laughter. Kidd Makes very strong points but he eventually ends with no real conclusion on where it began but there are strong points to claim that the origins of laughing began with the greek Xa XA. Richard also discusses about the science of joke telling. That the most effective way that a joke is strong is whenever the joke teller doesn't laugh, which makes sense. According to Dr.Mora-Ripoll Laughter is a necessary part of everyone's lives. In the brain laughter also works on a rewarding system, kind of like taking prescribed drugs to heal some sort of problems. Except that laughter has no contraindication. Which is basically the drug stimulus that happens within the brain. So in a way laughing is an effective drug without an side effects.
