Date: Influence of the Vietnam War on the U.S Society The Vietnam War was a great form of conflict which resulted to the molding of the U.S society in various ways. Following the end of the Vietnam War, the 1970s was a period of change in the society socially, politically and economically as well. Similarly, Home Soil is a story that explores the relationship between Bohdan who is a soldier and his father who was a soldier earlier as well (Zabytko 489-494). If I die in a Combat Zone is a personal memoir of Tim as he recounts his experience as a soldier in a combat zone. It is evident that despite of escaping the worst experiences in war, the veterans return home an affected without happiness in most cases.
