Grit is the courage and resolve of your strength that pertains to your personal character. How far would you go to resolve a problem? That is passion and perseverance for long-term goals. I took the grit test I didn't know how much grit I had, the grit test is about ten questions that might describe who you are. At the end of the test, you get a score that reflects how passionate or persevering you see yourself to be. When I took the test, I scored a four point twenty out of five they said I scored higher than about 80% of American adults. To improve your grit, you have to improve your mindset, this ensures a more positive result to reach your goals. My goal is to have a corporate American job, which will increase my chances of being a productive and successful member of society, I view myself as a kinesthetic learner that has a more of a hands-on learning approach carried out with physical activities, rather than sitting down and listening to a lecture. My strong suit is remaining open to continuous learning, according to Arthur L. Costa and Bena Kallick “ People with this Habit of Mind are always striving for improvement, always growing, always learning, always modifying and improving themselves” (12). When it comes down to if Coates is more extraversion versus Introversion. I see Coasters as a people person would feel comfortable in groups. Coates know a lot of people and maybe sometimes jump into things too fast and not thinking of what to do first. Coates pay most attention to impressions and the meaning of things. He likes hands on learning liking to be in the situation and knows everything whats going on. Coates like to read between the lines looking at the meaning of things. Likes to see a big picture and tie them down with facts. I think Coates is between a feelings and thinking person but if I had to pick it would have to be a feelings person. Coates care about others point of view he has people orientation. Coates look for the important things in other thoughts sometimes sees others as too idealistic and indirect. I see Coates has open to open to new experiences and information. So that leads Coates as a perceiving person. He likes to stay open to everything. He likes to approach work as play and work in bursts of energy. If I was to meet Coates I see him as an enthusiastic, imaginative, creative, future-oriented. Individualistic staying within himself.
