In the article, “The Brangelina of the NBA”, writer Jack Hamilton breaks down the gruesome and devastating friendship divorce of two all star basketball players: Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. These two high-caliber players spent eight years together playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. After the 2015-2016 season, Kevin Durant’s contract was up and he was left with the choice to either leave the Thunder or move on. During the summer of 2016, Durant chose to accept a highly luxurious contract from the Golden State Warriors. This decision grabbed the once unbreakable friendship of theses two stars and shattered it into millions of pieces. Both players have since moved on and are doing exceptionally well with out each other. But one thing still remains, why did Kevin Durant leave?
