In writing "The Flip Side of Internet Fame" by Jessica Bennett, she talks about the danger of posting things on the internet. Anything posted is visible to others; something may just get one in trouble. The stories she told were about children posting stuff to humiliate other people or ruin their social life. Some things that are posted can be used to humiliate someone and published to all types of websites and blogs, as Jessica said about the "Star Wars Kid." These web sites were created around a certain topic for a reason. If someone wants to post on the website, it is fine. What they say to a certain extent, is the problem. Ranting and raving about an ex on a site made for that item is okay, but the thing that is said should be kept to a limit.
Jessica argues that according to several recent studies, anonymity of the internet encourages individuals to say things that they normally would not. Precisely, the system supports juicy rumors under the protection of anonymity for sources. She continues by saying that operators of the internet should be held responsible as well for any immoral posts on the internet as they do not edit posts or content. She argues that this encourages people to post whatever they want about others as they suffer no repercussions.
In order to support her argument, Jessica starts her writing with an introduction that helps her stand out from the rest and enables her to grab the reader's attention. She sustains it until the last word. Ideally, one way to create a scene in an engaging is personal voice, as Jessica does in her writing.
