She informs that bullying is at its peak in the late teenage years, but can start in an early age. Kowalski concurs that girls intimidates as much as boys; however, they do it differently. This quote has some detail that maybe people would have found out about, maybe not. But, I am glad I could address it to you. This story made me think a little. How people from different countries are treated. How bullying is a factor in life and in this time period.
The poem “Troll” by Shane Koyczan deals more with what if you were the bully, it takes you from a different perspective rather than looking at it from the bullied, Koyczan takes us to look at the bullies and how he portrays them. The author says about the bully, “You turned your hate into stones and hurled them at beauty, as if you couldn't bear to see anything other than ugly, anything Different.” (line 18) In this line the poet explains how the bullies make up the hideous in the world, making it worse with every other hideousness they put out there. Not being able to see anything but what they put out as if things were being molded their way.

To Whitman poetics and politics are inseparable. He understands the politics of his country and realizes the mutual relationship between that politics and the national poetry of his country. He tried to put up for sale the first edition of Leaves of Grass on July 4, 1855. “By invoking the scene of an Independence Day celebration in ‘Song of Myself,’ Whitman succeeds in connecting the internal events of his poetry with the external circumstances of his book’s publication” (Whitley 460). “In addition to the metonymic feat of making Leaves of Grass and his own person merge so that they became almost exchangeable terms, Whitman created similar slippage between himself and his country” (Price, To Walt Whitman, America 4).
I believe The Waking started the new unit because of the story’s similar themes, imagery, and word choice. The Waking 's theme is about the cycle of life. Near the beginning of the story, Charlie had the mindset of a toddler. He was naive, and confused about the world. In the beginning of The Waking it says, “I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.”
“The Round” describes the speaker’s first round of golf. The first stanza introduces the topic, giving when the round took place and how the speaker immediately fell in love with golf. Metaphors depict the speaker’s feelings on the golf course in the second stanza, in which the speaker also includes a rhetorical question alluding to his/her new passion. The third stanza looks into the future of the speaker’s golfing career, who will do anything to reach the next level. The final stanza mentions the speaker’s previous love for baseball and allows readers to finish the story, as the poem concludes with a vague idea.
