The book “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy was a very interesting book. This book was about a father and son traveling to safety. The boy's mother killed herself in the beginning of the book because she couldn’t think of a reason to live. Then the father and son were running out of food so they had to go and find help. The whole book is about the father and son and traveling southeast to safety. They come across numerous obstacles however they always conquer them and they have a very strong bond. They traveled through snow and the desert then they eventually ended up by the beach. We knew the father was sick from the beginning.
