In the Ted Talk “The agony of trying to unsubscribe” by James Veitech, Veitech speaks upon his encounter with an email regarding a supermarket opening. Veitech shares his experience of the back and forth talk between himself and the email sender until the manual emails eventually cease and automated ones start to be sent. Veitech presents this humorous story in such a way that the crowd seems to always be intrigued and laughing every few seconds. After each joke about the emails Veitech gets he says a joke followed by a short pause to give the crowd enough time to process the joke and what was actually going in. Veitech’s pauses seem to be just right to stimulate his performance and at any point the pauses weren’t to long in which the crowd
