From the video “The transformative power of classical music”, Benjamin Zander did an experiment on the audience by playing piano and gave example of the people he met that are affected by classical music.
First, he gave the example of a child who play piano since he was seven but then he decided to quit. But the problem is not the way a child play, it was about his perspective with piano and classical music. He said that a person should be “one-buttock player”, not “two-buttock player”. It means that a player should focus on one thing that he or she doing and not think of other things while the way of playing piano. Zander also used his passion about classical music to influence the audience. If people listen to classical musical carefully and do not be distract by other people, they could experience new things that they never thought of before.

Because in my opinion, classical music is some type of peaceful music, which people have to actually listen carefully to understand how classical music is. I remembered back in the time when I just moved to America. It was a very hard time for myself. I went to school but I did not have friends because of the problem in language. I was sad and a little bit of depressed. Then I listened to classical music. At the time, I chose classical music to listen because I feel like I do not want to listen to other type of music. While I was listening to classical music, I self-reflected. I thought about what had happened at the earlier of my life and what was happening at the time. I tried to think about different perspective of how I was. Then after listening, I felt better. I felt that going to a different environment was not bad.
