After the humans had been eradicated in “T.W.C.S.R,” the house “realized that… only silence was [there],” yet kept on “repeating and repeating its sounds into emptiness” (Bradbury 169-170). On the other hand, nature causes a fire that “in ten billion angry sparks moved with flaming ease from room to room” (Bradbury 172). The house demonstrates its longing and nostalgia for its masters and attempts to deny their absence by repeating its assigned functions.
