he book, Through It all written by Giselle Mills highlights a story which took place in the country of St. Kitts, Rose Marie was famous for being the primary ‘breadwinner’ for the household. She was preparing to publish a book, ‘From a Psychologist’s Point of View’ and it promised to be rewarding. After publication, as predicted, her hard work paid off. Her husband Mr D’Averette was dismissed from his landscaping job as he was accused of theft wrongfully. Being at home, he rarely assisted his wife with household duties and rather spends most of his time sleeping in bed, eating, watching television or read the newspaper. The author highlighted the interactions between the wealthy and poor persons. Persons who were first class were able to financially support their children and sent them to Duncan’s Academy, Andreide, Alisa, Harietta and Keisha were best friends and they attended St. George’s Public High School. At Duncan’s Academy, it was dominated by whites and St. George’s Public High School dominated by blacks. Andreide’s family was regarded to be in the Lower Middle Class. Lisa’s parents were highly qualified and held good jobs thus qualifying for Upper Middle-Class status in society. Her mother was an interior designer and her father a dentist. In comparing these two families, they were both of the middle-class statuses; children attended the same school and were best friends. In contrast, they lived in two different neighbourhoods, Lisa’s parents both worked in good jobs while Andreide’s mother was the primary provider. Lisa was an only child but Andreide had siblings.
