1) GOOGLE: On November 15, 1959 a family of four were murdered in their Kansas home by Richard Hicklock and Perry Smith. Herb Clutter was one of the victim in the murder. Herb Clutter was a wealthy farmer who had a lot of money saved in his farmhouse. Hickock and Smith had arrived to the Clutter while they were sleeping. After waking up by the noise Mr. Clutter raid the home and got approximately fifty dollars, binoculars and a transistor radio. After getting all the cash they could find in the house they killed the family. When the police arrived, Herb Clutter was found sprawled on a mattress in the basement, stabbed, his throat slashed and a shotgun charge fired to his head. In a Hutchinson article I found on the internet talks about the tragedy and who the Clutter family were.
