Bullying can change your life, but you can change it back “Tuesday of the Other June” by Norma Fox Mazer is a realistic short story about how bullying someone, can easily come right back at you. In the beginning, June was called names by a bully she met at swim class. Soon, June gets physically hurt by her bully. But she hides it from her mom. In the end, June stopped her bully. By saying only one word. That could possibly mean she did truly get rid of her bully. June learned how to stand up to her bully. In the beginning, June was called names. Finally, June stopped her bully. When June started her new school. Her bully was there. The bully had already been threatening and scaring her. “Don’t you speak anymore, fish eyes?” grabbing my chin in her hands, she pried open my mouth. “Oh. ha ha I thought you lost your tongue”. The bully tormented June, and she had enough. The bully sharpened three sharp pencils, “like three little sharp knives”. Just before the bully could poke her, pinch her, or punch her. June looked at her and laughed. “Oh, no! No. No. No more!”. In paragraph 98 she says, “I tried again. My finger against her chest. Then the words. “No--more”. June sat down and knew it was the last Tuesday of the other June. June learned how to stand up to her bully. In the beginning, June was called names by a bully she met at swim class.
