Angel B. Perez in the article “Want to Get Into College? Learn to fail” argues that colleges aren’t always looking for perfect student, or students that scores good. Perez supports his argument by explaining to his readers that perfection does not exist. He also tells the reader that just because we make errors in high school doesn't really mean that it’s going to define us in the future. We tend to believe that in order to live happy we must go to college and getting a head start. Yes, I can agree with the fact that college helps us by becoming more advanced and having a little more experience than most. Most jobs today don’t really need experience in order to be successful. For example, Steve Job, he dropped out of college and was still able to become a successful person. Job, had passion and creativity. He made the impossible become possible. He changed the world by making it a little more advanced. As Steve says, “Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” In other words, Steve believes that those who bend the rule are more likely to develop a new …show more content…
Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of is it quite necessary for college. Whereas some are convinced that going to college is more beneficial, others maintain on the idea that colleges isn't quite necessary. Most people would say that if you don’t go to college, then you’re basically considered a failure or a secondary class. “College is like your life.if you don’t go to college...you can’t live a successful life.” Schlock from “Not Going to College is a Viable Option” acknowledges that young kids are being told about college being the only way to live a better life.
