Hi Classmate, To be honest with you, after reading this article and the other so far in this class, this presidential administration has really touched a nerve. I think our policymakers have set out to confuse the public and it has become a battle over climate science. Through this battle, Scientists and journalists have decided to go straight to the public, whereas before they would go straight to the politicians in a straighter formal format. Such as, “How much trouble are we in?” “Big trouble.” In the next 25 to 30 years, if we don’t start acting on the issues of the climate changes caused by human activities, we are going to have catastrophic consequences. Not only are we going to have extreme weather and lose precious resources we can't get back, we are going to lose many valuable life’s and leave our future generation with unbearable conditions. He makes it clear that the effects that humans are having on the global climate change are already showing signs of significant and harmful effects on our communities, our health, and our climate. Gillis explains the world is already experiencing dangerous heat waves and they are becoming more common. All over the world, the Extreme storms are increasing and many lives are being lost. Along with this, severe droughts and fires are occurring in areas and then many other areas are experiencing flooding or cold weather where this normally doesn't
