The Autobiography of Malcolm X In The Autobiography of Malcolm X, being African American is hard for someone who wants to be successful and win at life because we live in a cruel world of racism. Malcolm Little had trouble since before he was even born. As he grew, he made good friendships that helped him out and others who made him end up in jail. All throughout the story, Malcolm grew so much as a person and transformed into a wise man. It all started in Malcolm’s mother’s womb, Malcolm’s mother was pregnant when KKK visited their house looking for his father. They then fled; they went out of town where Malcolm was born. Boston.
In Boston, Ella, Malcolm’s sister, wanted him to hang with respectable men to keep him out of trouble. Unfortunately, he met a guy named Shortly. Malcolm was introduced to drugs and then it became a habit. This habit got out of control. He turned into a thief to fund his addiction and ended up in jail with a 10 year sentence. There he meets Bimbi. A guy who commands respect without any physical threats, and Malcolm wants to be just like him. When Malcolm eventually gets out of jail, he turns into a new man. He changes his name; he is no longer Malcolm Little, he is Malcolm X. Later in Malcolm’s life, he becomes a minister and because of his work, he is up in the ranks of the Nation of Islam. He is now Elijah Muhammad’s right-hand. Malcolm’s life is like a fairy-tale at the moment, he even got married. All of a sudden, something changed. Johnson Hinton, who is a member of Nation of Islam, was attacked by police officers. Johnson’s friends demand he is to be taken to the hospital. The Nation of Islam is tensioned onto the national stage. Now,
