Throughout Law & Order: Special Victims Unit a lady is walking her dog and she stops to let her dog sniff the trash , but little did she know her dog picked up a placenta and there is a baby in a box. The woman keeps walking her dog without noticing the placenta in the dog’s mouth or the baby in the box and once she comes across a couple, her dog drops the placenta the wife and man look outraged at what the dog drops and ask the lady with the dog what it is and the dog owner says that she does not know, that her dog must have picked it up from the trash. Then the married woman says it is something human because she has had several kids. Ella committed a crime against her own offspring, by attempting to murder the child by placing it in a box in the garbage. The crime committed by Ella Christiansen is considered a crime against people. When Christiansen’s arraignment is heard she is accused of attempted murder in the second degree (no death penalty), endangerment of a child and child abandonment. The judge asks Ella if she pleads guilty or not guilty and Ella responds “ not guilty” surprisingly. The plaintiff accuses Christiansen of being a flight risk and mentions her alleged killing of another baby. Next, the judge says she does not consider Christiansen a flight risk and that she is not a threat to anyone but her own offspring. Additionally, the judge states that their will be a lower bail amount, but warns Ella that she better not get pregnant before trial or she will be found in contempt of court and bail will be rescinded. With the DNA tests from both the mother and child the doctor shows detective Benson that the baby’s chromosomes and his mother’s chromosomes are way too similar. Immediately, the doctor tells detective Benson that the mother and baby have the same father because of the vast DNA similarities. Benson assumes that the baby is a product of incest which in simpler terms means having sexual relations with a family member and urgently heads to the house of Ella’s father and stepmother. Detective Benson knocks on the door and Ella’s stepmother opens up, Benson asks for Ella’s father and his wife tells Benson that he wishes to not be disturbed, Benson asks “ how much does your husband love his daughter” then the wife tells Benson that Ella’s father loves her so much that their house was put up for collateral for Ella’s bail. Next, Benson asks where Ella is right now and the wife tells her that she is inside with her father, Benson storms in the house and reveals the truth to the wife as she is astonished at what is
