Straight from the era of classical cinema and with the ascending narration. Sunset Boulevard {1950} directed by Billy Wilder is a classic American black and white comedy/drama film noir, cited as one of the greatest films of American cinema. With the greatest silent star cast of William Holden as Joe Gillis who is described as an unsuccessful screenwriter, Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond. The story revolves around a case of murder that had incurred at a mansion of Sunset Boulevard owned by Norma Desmond who is a faded silent actress and after all these years. She dreams of returning back to the screen. Whereas, Joe Gillis who is a screenwriter the one who is murdered. With his dead body floating in the swimming pool of the mansion. He narrates the happenings according to the scenes and till the end. Coming back to where, where all this started.

He also owns a car and he fails to pay the money for his car. So he tries to escape the situation with his car and gets a flat tire and unknowingly parks his car in Norma’s garage. He is then called up by Max and he meets the long lost actress Norma Desmond who was waiting for coffin maker for the burial of her pet chimpanzee. And mistakes Joe, as the coffin maker. But soon finds out that he is a screenwriter, she asks him to write for her new film but he ignores and ought to leave. But Norma, offers him money which he cannot refuse. And thinking of the debts he needs to pay off. Gillis decides to write for her, later Norma forces him to live in her mansion and she bounds him to live there. Only because of the debts he is in, Gillis is entitled to work for the money Norma gives so after a hasty argument he starts to live
