There are many different ways to survive on a island but they may be difficult or they may be easy. In “the cay” Timothy uses a certain plan to survive since Philip is blind he has to try and make a survival plan. Timothy has really good plans to survive on the island. Some of Timothy's plans are, Fish for food, get coconut milk, Build shelter. One of Timothy's plans where to find food helps his plans because it will help them survive without dying of starvation they get to eat fish and lagonsta. It states in “ The Cay,” I jerked flipping the fish back over my shoulder so it would land over the reef.” This quote shows that Timothy figured out a method for Philip to fish for food even though Philip is blind. For example, How to survive on a desert island (by a former Royal Navy l states,’ Mollusks, oysters, clams, mussels, seaweed and fish can all be eaten, though some care is needed to make sure they are not poisonous, which they can be in certain conditions and at certain times.” This quote proves my answer because that when your on a island you can fish or …show more content…

You need to find a place to rest, while protecting yourself from the elements, such as wind and rain.” This quote explains that when Timothy and Phillip first got on the island they first built a fire and shelter, so this helps explain that when you first get to a cay or an island build a shelter to sleep or live in. In The article How to survive on a desert island it states,” It is also important to try to sleep off the ground.
