There are many different ways to survive on a island but they may be difficult or they may be easy. In “the cay” Timothy uses a certain plan to survive since Philip is blind he has to try and make a survival plan. Timothy has really good plans to survive on the island. Some of Timothy's plans are, Fish for food, get coconut milk, Build shelter. One of Timothy's plans where to find food helps his plans because it will help them survive without dying of starvation they get to eat fish and lagonsta. It states in “ The Cay,” I jerked flipping the fish back over my shoulder so it would land over the reef.” This quote shows that Timothy figured out a method for Philip to fish for food even though Philip is blind.
