Susan B. Anthony was born on February 15, 1820. One of many accomplishments that Anthony contributed to was the proposal of the Nineteenth Amendment. Susan B. Anthony was exposed to this extreme of political view from a young age. Her family looked to begin women's rights ever since she was young, so she was nearly born into it. Among other things Susan’s family fought for The Temperance Movement, which was a movement to end or limit the production and sale of alcohol. In fact, when Anthony wanted to give a speech on the Temperance Movement Susan B. Anthony was denied the opportunity because she was a women. This fired up her involvement in the Women's rights category. Anthony realized overall she needed to give women the right to vote
