The story Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote and Jim Carrey both share the theme of perseverance. In the story Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote, Susan shows perseverance by never giving up her fight for women's rights to vote. Jim Carrey showed perseverance throughout his life since he was homeless and had no money. In contrast, in Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote, Susan persevered to fight for what she had believed in. But in Jim Carrey's life he persevered in order to save his life and his family.

The story Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote shows perseverance because Susan had never given up on her fight for women's rights to vote. For example, one day Susan dressed up as a man in order to vote because she knew that women couldn't vote. Even though she was a women, she dressed up as a man to show that she will never give up in what she believes in. This shows perseverance because she tried everything in order to get women to vote even though most of her ideas did not work. Another example in Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote that shows perseverance is that Susan has been working on making women vote for more than 60 years.
