I’m not very surprised that they became friends because Taylor Swift makes it seem like she wants to be friends with everyone. They made it publicly known that they had become friends because they were talking about collaborating on Taylor Swift’s latest album, 1989, but that never ended up happening. It became widely known that they had become close when Swift presented West with the Video Vanguard Award in 2015 at the VMA’s.
