Jack Daniel’s, a brand of Tennessee whiskey, is the top selling American whiskey in the world. Although it is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, Jack Daniel’s home county is Moore, Tennessee. The town of Moore is an ironic place to be Jack Daniel’s birthplace because of Moore being a dry county. The founder of Jack Daniel’s, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel, birthdate is a mystery to some. On his tombstone, it states that he was born in 1850 but many have suggests that he was born sometime in September of 1846 due to writings that his mother had passed away in 1847.
