Lowe’s Companies’ website has the competitive advantage because it is easier to browse through. Home Depot’s uses a smaller font, thus more difficult for me to read. It is easier to look for products that I want by filtering and categorized items. For example, I find Lowe’s electrical department in the website more organized than the one in Home Depot. Home Depot only has one heading which is “Top Selling”. The font Home Depot uses might confuse customers because it blends in with the product names. On the other hand, Lowe’s has three headings; one of them is “Popular Categories”. Lowe’s also has two other categories, such as Home Security and Alternative Energy. Beneath those categories, there are pictures and subheadings that ease the shopping
