Two big examples are the Galses of Doctor T.J. Ekleberg, these glasses are the scene at certain points in the book where “ god is looking down on people” and the green light is the other symbol, the green light is a symbol for many things from money to envy to just the greed of Jay Gatsby. As seen in the book the glasses are seen in the depressive area of new york, between the eggs and the city there is this town full of smoke and smog.
