Two books were read this year, “Night” by Elie Wiesel and “Life of pi” by Yann martel. Yann Martel uses symbolism to connect the animals in the novel with many different religions dealt with in the story. Elie Wiesel shares his most personal memories of the Holocaust. Which he experienced directly and during which he lost his family and many friends.

Life of Pi is the story of a man who survives a harrowing shipwreck and months in a lifeboat with a big tiger named Richard Parker. The beginning of the novel covers Pi's childhood and youth.
