In the capturing poem “To This Day” by Shane Koyczan, the author uses symbolism throughout the whole poem to make some parts of the poem stick out. He uses symbolism to explain the dark memories of some people's life in the past.There are a lot of symbols in this poem that take you deeper in the story.
