DETERMINED A lot of things drive people to undertake a mission such as hard work not giving up an effort It's not just that though it takes determination and courage and the will to undertake that mission. Where the Red Fern Grows is an excellent example because Billy wants dogs so bad that is the mission he undertakes. Not only does he do it but he does it with bravery and courage. Traveling the ozarks bare feet and 19 miles is not easy. But it was for Billy because it was for something he wanted something he needed and had worked ever so hard for. Ernesto came into a new country not knowing any of the american language and not knowing that much about America and everything else in this country. He and his mother fled their drug ridden country to America looking for a better life. Ernesto meets his teacher Miss Ryan and his principal Miss Hopley. At first Ernesto was scared but then he learned how nice Miss Hopley and Miss Ryan where. It talks a lot about the determination he had to learn english and become a better American. It also talks about bravery and courage of leaving Mexico looking for a better life. That is how Ernesto undertook his mission. The Other Side of the Sky talks a lot about determination and especially bravery. It definitely shows the drive to undertake a mission because she was not afraid to fight the guards and fight in what she believes. She crossed the mountains to get to the green or the safe zone on a crippled leg and a dying mother. That takes the bravery and courage to fight and not be afraid to face something scary. She also had the love to meet and care for new people or strangers she didn’t even know. That is how amehdi undertook her
