ntro When I think about it Fahrenheit 451 is full of meaning and symbolism, and for this essay I will be saying why. I think the point of 451 is to mainly to show that everyone goes through hardship, even to the point of breaking. But 451 also tells us that it get’s better in the end, even to get there you had to make sacrifices, but you still get there. And this is shown when clarisse dies, Montag rethinks his entire life, he knows he’s not happy and wonders why he’s been burning books. He starts to read books and then get’s caught. And ultimately he kills to be free. He kills then he runs and meets up with other people and starts a new life. But there are more smaller details that have different meanings. We don’t have that in our society, but there are some things we can’t say in books to where the book will have to be censored for the public. I think bradbury thought that the government would censor books so he created this book to tell people to be defensive of their books P2 My insight on what bradbury wanted us to learn isn’t that. I think he wanted us to learn that we might be censored some day. And I think he is telling us to stand up for our freedom if you will. The whole book is Montag rebelling against society, he knows he’s not supposed to read books yet he does anyway. He then starts a new life just to be free and read books. Yet there is another meaning we could partac from this book “There must be something in books, something we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there. You don’t stay for nothing.” P3 For this is the second biggest meaning that bradbury intended. Happiness. Happiness is the one thing that people sometimes don’t understand. When you sit down and think about your happiness you might find out that you’re not happy. And I think if you read this book it kinda brainwashes you to think about your happiness.
