The documentary Intersexion published in 2012 follows the life of people living with interxuality. Intersex is when a person who is born with a reproductive system or sexual anatomy that dosen’t fit the typical definition of female or male. Many people do not know what intersex is but there are around 3 million people who are intersex. Statisticely 1 in every 2000 children is born with intersex. The documentary is lead by mani. Mani is a person that doesnt not identify as female or male. In the documentary there are people talking about there experienced of being intersex. Bo Lauren is another person who experienced surgery to fit the standeres of male or feamle. Bo was told they where a boy than found that had genes of girl so the clitoris was shorten and raised as a girl. The family was recommend to move as to not bring attention when changing the gender. Michle is another story of somone born with a penis but later told they had femel chromosomes and had surgery at 1 as welll as getting told to move. As wee see with many intsersex people they are bullied by there peers due to notfolloing there assigned gender which can be hard for somoens whos gender cant be identified fron there genitals. There are gender institutions that one has to follow. As the idea of what bathroom should a person who is intersex use.
