Syrian Evacuation Analysis

Recently in class, we viewed a sixty minutes video on which the main topic of the video was the evacuation that is occurring in Syria. In the video it depicts scenes when the refugees are loading onto trucks. At one point in the video a young soldier had assisted an older woman who had collapsed just a little ways before the border. Because that woman had spent over ten days in the desert and traveled over three hundred miles, that small act of kindness probably meant the world to her. Even the smallest acts such as assisting families, showing people that someone knows and cares about them and his or her family, and the importance of manners can mean so much to people.

To begin with a small group of divers pursue the remains of soldiers from World War two that were declared missing in action in order to give closure to the families and friends of the soldiers. For example just telling one of the people who serve you lunch “thank you” can show them that you actually do appreciate all of the hard work that they put in each and every day. Also addressing people with a title such as Mr. or Mrs. can show them that you respect and maybe even look up to the person making them feel like a good role model for a young person. Offering to help someone who appears to be having trouble with something could make them feel that they don’t have to do everything on their own and that others are willing to help them out. Another example is to help others carry in groceries or other objects that would otherwise take them a long amount of time to complete. Most Importantly just holding open a door for someone who is unable to themselves or who is disabled could mean a lot to them and make his or her lives much
