Mormonism expanded into one of the largest religions since the time of Joseph Smith, with over 16.5 million followers. Its denominations, practice, history, beliefs, and similarities and differences to Christianity make it one of the most interesting religions of the twenty-first century. Mormonism has one of the most fascinating but yet confusing rises in religious power. While it has not gained the largest following that say Christianity or Islam has, its historical significance amongst every denomination is quite intriguing. This religion has a celebrated history with practices and convictions that have carried on all along. The term Mormon originated from The Book of Mormon, which was made after the movement and evangelist of Joseph Smith during the 1830s.
