The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a sports sedan vehicle manufactured in Japan. There has been ten official models of the car. They started making them in 1992 and stopped production in 2016. All models use two litre turbocharged in line four cylinder engines with all wheel drive systems. The evolution was supposed to be sold to japanese markets but instead got put into the import and rally scene. This then made its way into the ralliart industry where this car would become one of the biggest rally cars. Competing with top companies like Subaru, BMW, and Audi. Sadly the United States didnt get any of the first generations up and till the eight generation. When Mitsubishi saw how good the Subaru WRX Sti was doing in the US. They finally let the lancer Evolution into the United states but didn’t full output power due to safety regulations in the Us. They put a new turbocharger and a new thing called Active yaw control. This thing was basically a robot that tells the car when to send torque to each individual wheel. Bust most importantly it got two huge fog lights built into the front bumper. This is when they started getting wins the rally circuit. Especially when the Evo 7 brought the Active Center Differential. This let the car slide easier with its Awd
