Executive Summary
Within this diversity audit, we will discuss Target Corporation and the strides it has made to become one of the most diverse companies. We will start with a brief history of the company and how diversity has been playing a role in the organization and then we will move into a list of criteria that we looked for when we audited the company. Our paper will further evaluate our findings of each criteria and we will provide our readers with an overall organization grade and any recommendations we believe may be useful to Target Corporation.

Company Background, history, role of diversity in the organization

We will look at the website to see if they openly promote diversity and if this information is publicly open to everyone and easy to find.
3. Our group will analyze and check for the diversity initiatives that Target participates in or sponsors as well as employee resource groups available to employees.
4. We will do additional research into Target’s HR department and see how diverse that group of employees is within the company.
5. We will look for speeches from Target’s executive members and check to see if they have mentioned diversity and inclusion in any of their recent speeches.
6. We will conduct a brief tour at each of our local Target stores and assess the diversity of in-store employees that they have working.
7. We will look to see if Target has ever come under fire recently for not following their diversity values.
8. Our group will do some additional research on the training and development aspect of Target’s corporation and see how diverse their training is.
9. We will also take a look at any advertising that Target does to see if they are utilizing their diverse workforce.
