The American Industrial growth of 1870s-1910s was a result of the hard work of the laborers, but the sharpest minds of the entrepreneurs are who deserve the credit. During this time the emergence of talented and often ruthless entrepreneurs led the abundant raw of supplies and new technology to the industrial revolution.
These new factors persuaded many businesses to build their own research and engineers and scientists became increasingly tied up with the research and development of agendas of corporations. As a result, a new principle of scientific management known as "Taylorism" was born. Taylor, the creator, persuaded employers to take control of the workplace, creating what is mass production and assembly line terms that still use today.
