I am relocating to Wokingham to be closer to my fiancé’s work and therefore I am looking for a new role within education.

Whilst working as a Teaching Assistant for the last few years I have had the privilege to work in a variety of settings, my most recent employment within a small village school. Whilst working at Englefield Primary School I have had various responsibilities and feel that I have grown as a Teaching Assistant. I have been responsible for marking books, homework and administrating / marking assessments (PUMA maths, Hodder diagnostic spelling and Salford reading.) I listened to and assessed children read on a daily basis, both within 1:1 and guided reading sessions, I found this aspect particularly rewarding and strived to make sure that every child could read. I was also responsible for running PSHE within Year 3, using the SEAL guide I planned and taught PSHE once a week during circle time using creative ways to discuss sometimes sensitive issues. I also worked with pupils in groups where I would group write if appropriate and hold discussions, I held numeracy groups for students with varying abilities and worked with students on a 1:1 basis. It is crucial to make sure that there was clear communication with the class teacher reporting on the progress of pupils and to help aid planning if necessary. I feel that these experiences have provided me with the confidence to work on my own initiative but also being able to work as a team.

I completed general duties such as keeping the classroom tidy, setting out resources, general marking, filing, keeping displays up to date, record keeping, attending meetings, changing and keeping a record of library and home reading books and taking care of the children's health and hygiene when necessary, these experiences have enabled me to have excellent organisational skills which I feel would be
