The career of being a teacher is much more than only teaching, the occupation is the combination of strong relationships with students, admiration for education, and inspiration to the students. As a principal, they are the leaders of the entire school, responsible for redefining the instructional program, creating a safe environment, and always finding ways for improvement. Teachers and principals agree on the fact that students come first in every decision and plan created. The relationship with teachers and principals are ones that can become very influential in a student’s life. This is because what is taught in the classroom or the rules in the system, are materials and lessons that will be explored throughout the students remainder in the education system. With understanding the importance teachers and principals have on children, I am wanting to be a part of the children’s education. I am currently enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin gaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics with a teachers certificate. Upon graduation, I am wanting to immediately apply to become a high school teacher. Within the next five to seven years of teaching, I will truly believe in my ability to teacher and want to challenge myself. I will do so by applying to The University of Texas at Austin graduate program, trying to obtain a master’s degree in Educational Administration. After graduating from the graduate program, I will be applying for an administration occupation, wanting to ultimately take the role as a high school’s principal.
