As a first year teacher, maintaining a positive attitude is reasonable considering you are expected to inspire, by organizing my life, I will be prepared to handle unforeseen circumstances, and the use of my experience over the years is a reflection of being a student that will contribute to my success with the help of patience and understanding. When I enter a classroom, I am equipped with an open mind that allows me to be flexible with the understanding that not all kids/students are the same and for that reason does not learn at the same pace. This will give me an edge of dealing with my co-workers, accepting constructive criticism without offense, and be willing to help out and accept help from others. In an educational setting, I am open to having a mentor and learn from that person’s experiences and approaches to different situations that will contribute to my growth and development of being an exceptional teacher. I understand that I have to separate my personal life from my professional life and stay focus on what I want to accomplish as a teacher while protecting the wellbeing of my students. For the reasons listed above, I am the only person that could impact my success as a first year teacher, and I don’t foresee that happening. I was born to teach. In essence “Being Reasonable”, “Organizing my life”, and “Reflecting” will definitely be the driving force that will help me to succeed as a new first year teacher.There is no bigger reward than being a teacher.
