I have chosen this path for a few main reasons and would love to share them with you. First, I know for a fact there is not enough help for kids currently and a lot of the people who work in the industry don't care nearly as much as they should. It's an industry that really needs to be filled with more people who really care for the children. The second reason is that I have a strong desire to make a positive difference in someone's life, and hopefully a lot of people's lives.
Ever since I was little I’ve always loved kids. I’ve always been the mother of the group, and the person at the family get togethers that plays with the babies the whole time. I decided at an early age I wanted to be a teacher. Not only because I wanted to decorate my classroom, but also because I love seeing the look on peoples faces when the thing they’ve been trying to understand finally clicks in their head. Being a teacher or a L&D nurse are my career path choices because I would get to work with kids and it best suites my personality.
A large group of students in the United States makeup a large population of English language learners. Students who are considered English language learners undergo many challenges in their education, and without the necessary support and resources from their educators it can make it hard for them to succeed. A teacher plays a significant role in the success of a child, and it is crucial for them to be able to provide the proper education to students whose first language is not English. It is also very important for teachers to understand the challenges that these students are facing. Having empathy towards the students allows for the teacher to create better connections and relationships to better help them.
I consider myself very fortunate to have found my passion in life, teaching. I truly enjoy working with young adults and cultivating their academic, emotional, and social development. My experience
Over the years I have learned that helping kids is what brings me the most joy. Education provides children with inspiration, guidance and knowledge. I am going into the education field to inspire children. I have always loved working with children, and feel that the education field is where I can make a difference. I have been working with children for the past ten years; starting with babysitting my cousins to now, working at the YMCA. I have also worked with many different age groups and found that I enjoy elementary age the best. It is great to see the impact an adult makes on a child.
I first wanted to become a teacher when I was younger. I loved the idea of teacher younger children. During high school I went back and forth between nursing and teaching. I began tutoring Kindergarteners through the Teen Leadership Corporation at our school and fell in love with helping younger children. Although I have thought about the job security in teaching the main reason I am determined to become a teacher is working with youth.
Slowly I pull myself up from my warm, soft bed on a breezy August morning. All I can hear is my mom shouting, “Wake up! Wake up!” It is the first day of school. “Dreadful 9th grade,” I thought to myself.
I believe that there are many attributes that an outstanding teacher must possess such as compassion, leadership, passion, application of content knowledge, and effective classroom management. A teacher must have passion for his or her job. Teaching is demanding of time, effort, and commitment. Students respond best to a teacher that is excited to be there.
I want to be a classroom teacher because I believe it is my calling. Throughout my academic journey, I have met several teachers who have impacted my life dearly. These teachers taught me beyond the standards required for me to learn by the state they taught me how to be a good citizen and person as well. I learned from these teachers that teachers continue to learn even as they teach their students, I want to be a life-long learner like the wonderful teachers I have had. I want to be a classroom teacher to help students grow to their full potential and learn from my classroom experiences to become a better teacher.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. One reason I chose to work in the education field is because of my passion for children. I understand how important children are to the future world. I would like to help mold the minds of our future doctor,lawyers,engineers, and also teachers. I have had a great number of influential teachers that exhibited effective teaching skills and that is what inspired me to follow in their footsteps.
Since we started kindergarten one of the most commonly asked questions of students is: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” For most people, this varies as they age. For me, however, I’ve always know in my heart teaching was what I wanted to do. What was it about teaching that was appealing to me?
When I was asked to teach elementary school children, I wasn’t sure how should I deliver all the materials to them. Recalling my childhood, my early education was dull and discouraging. There is endless lecturing about hardcore science mechanisms without hands-on experiences. As time passed, I accepted the hidden curriculum in lecture halls: accept all the information given, there’s no need for passion (“Session 10 – School Food Systems: Hidden Curriculum | LFS 250,” n.d.). I appreciate that I am given a second chance to become a member in an elementary school, to teach kids about vermicomposting, and to experience different teaching and learning approaches, which regained my passion for pursuing new knowledge.
I believe that to become a successful teacher you must possess a certain skill that allows you to communicate with young children. To me, it is a crucial profession and ultimatley the upmost greatest and rewarding. Those within the education system have a great responsibility as educators for the future children of this world.
Many teachers enter the profession with their own ideas of how to teach, and I was no exception. My teaching ideas were grounded in the concept that every student was teachable, and that I, unlike most teachers before me, would be able to unlock the learning for every student. I thought that all my students will turn from their unproductive ways, regardless of their life experiences, and become serious students. I wanted to be a teacher who positively influenced many young lives, and inspired all my students to bright futures in the pursuit of education. I entered the field of education because of me wanting to help humanity and make a difference.
