In the workforce, there are a lot of different aspects to take account for, there are the financial, management, planning, skills, work habits, labor issues, technology, and health/safety. Each job; no matter where you go will have these exact angles of the job. Being a teacher is a perfect example that symbolizes these traits of a job. A teacher is not just guiding students at the right path to success; it’s about the planning, working together with the other teacher in your grade, or subject. It’s about managing and keeping the students safe at all times. A lot goes on in a teacher mind in one day and each day is different, let’s take a closer look in the life of a teacher.

Management in a school and with a teacher are two different types. Teacher management is an important part to the profession; teacher has to manage their classrooms, make sure the students are doing what they are supposed to. In Mrs. Ison classroom, there is about 13 students, managing a classroom with 13 students is pretty hard; with all the students on different levels, you have to find a balance; challenging the students who are advanced, but also getting those who are not as quick to the material learning the material, so they can get on the same page with their peers. In Mrs. Ison classroom, there is about two students who get easily distracted and gets off track often, so her job makes teaching 13 students a little bit harder. You want to instruct those individuals who aren’t slacking off, but you also have to teach the 11 students who are paying attention, managing a classroom is all about choosing your battles. If one of the students is getting out of their seats and running around, and the other is messing around and just not focusing, you have to choose your battles, and watching her in her classroom has taught me that, you just have to put your full attention on those who are there and wanting to learn, use your peripheral vision on the other individuals and make them think you’re not watching them. You have to choose your battles, and you’re not going to always have this kind of environment in teaching. Each year of teaching you will have a different round of students, and each year, you’ll have to manage your students differently and find new ways to get the material out to the students, or expand on the ideas you already have. Teacher also have to prepare the students to go to the next level of education; making sure they not the information enough to retain for the next grade level, “usually the grade levels themselves always plan together and achieve higher standard- all grade levels
