Helping children and young adults in learning basic skills in reading, writing, and communicating are some of my personal goals as a future teacher. Another imperative aspect is to become a role model for them and share my knowledge and skills in the subject. Moreover, the goals I have for my students is to help them gain interest in learning for the rest of their life, but not only for a passing grade.
One of the methods that I will like to use as a teacher is the direct instruction approach since the students will need an introduction to the concepts, topics, and explanation. Also, I will create an active learning environment in the classroom by using the latest computer technology with the purpose to use websites, articles online, videos, webinar, and presentation and other sources. …show more content…

For that reason, the students will perform an effective assessment such as writing essays, questionnaires of the readings, and a presentation in class, in order to know if they understand the lessons, or if they have problems in the learning process. Afterward, I will analyze the student’s evaluation, and I will determinate which method of teaching is right for the instruction such as classroom activities, homework, and assessment.
Furthermore, I am committed to improve myself to achieve all the educational goals. For that reason, I will like to take in count the feedback of my mentors and suggestions with the purpose to improving in the area that they think I have issues. On the other hand, I will keep studying new skills and learning from my mentors and others sources online. As well, I will know if my teaching is effective when the students feel comfortable doing the assessment of themselves without constantly asking for an explanation.
