Teaching Philosophy Statement

I have always wanted to be a teacher. As a child I would play “teacher” with my younger brother showing him how to add, subtract, read, and write. I enjoy helping others understand new information and love to watch them grow and be able to accomplish what their hearts desire.
Classroom environments are a special way teachers show people their differences. I lean towards a more hands on classroom helping everyone express their own opinions, while respecting others. I want my students to have an understanding that we will all make goals, and strive to achieve our goals. While in lessons, I will come with the material prepared to teach with beginning instructions. Then I will have the children take over helping them to acquire leadership skills …show more content…

If they are eager to learn more about a specific subject, Then I will do everything in my power to help find resources for them to learn all that they desire. It doesn’t matter if I have to take time out of my personal day for any child who wants to learn more. Objectives will be a clear source of knowing what is expected to be accomplished, during the particular day.
The beginning of the school year will be a time where my students and I, sit down and make our own rules for our classroom, helping us all have an understanding for what is expected from each other. Classroom meetings will be held when needed to talk about new topics that we need to understand, or are having trouble sticking to rules made by us earlier in the year.
Service will play a big role in my classrooms whether its making cards for the veterans overseas or collecting canned goods for a food drive. Growing up I was a girl scout, shaping a part of me always giving as much free time as possible to lend a hel ping hand to others. Students having options of a couple different projects for one lesson, to present to the class, helping them build presentation skills at a young age. Additionally journal writing will be another factor where they can feel safe in writing anything their hearts desire, helping me as their teacher to build a bond with my
