This paper addresses the differences between two different companies and the different ways they achieve their solutions. It gets into details as to why in-house research teams are utilized more often than research firms. It also explains a few of the research tools that are better and that helps find the answers to help the company find a solution to the many questions they must stay ahead in their industry. Then there is the Fault Tree Analysis it allows the researcher to predict what issues can go wrong with a specific product there are five steps (Scheid, 2011)involved define what problems can happen, understand the project, construct the fault tree, identify how to fix any issues, and finally how to protect against the issues. This really helps to cut down on product issues, and hazard areas within the company. SPSS is extremely valuable to commercial enterprises because it provides analytical solutions using analysis, theory testing, and predictive analytics (SPSS, 2017). It employs the statistics to understand data, study trends, forecast and plan to validate assumptions and drive accurate conclusions. Lastly, would be Six Sigma it can assess how many "defects" you possess in a process, it allows you figure out how to eradicate them and become as near to "zero defects" as possible. The process can have no more than 3.4 defects to have Six Sigma Quality, it has six concepts (GE, 2017), Critical to Quality, Defect, Process Capability, Variation, Stable Operations, and Design. Companies that use this are trying to be top in their industry by trying to exceed their customer expectations.
