Team Effectiveness Profile Analysis: Humor In The Workplace

Throughout this semester, in my Team Development Workshop course, I had learned a lot about my team and what it takes to develop good teamwork, through accomplishing many different activities with my team. The activities include, the Team Conflict Strategy workbook exercise, the Positive-Feedback exercise, and listening to the pervious lectures we have gone over in class. The members in my team are Brian, Anna, Veronica, Veronica, Kaitlin, and I. As said in pervious journals, my team members were absolutely amazing people to work with. I have no complaints with it comes to them. When we were assigned to do the Team Conflict Strategy exercise in the workbook, it revealed two different things our team was labeled as. One of the things it revealed

Humor within a workplace is very beneficial within a team environment; it improves motivation in employees, gives company profitability’s, reduces stress, it increases health of employees, and much more. This lecture about humor in the workplace really made sense to me because when you do not have any balance between work and play it is harder to enjoy life. There are so many positive effects when it comes to humor within a workplace, as I stated above. When discussing the Team Effectiveness Profile Analysis lecture in class it really taught me to always stay positive and to never think that you cannot do something because you never know unless you try. In a workplace or team environment you have to set personal goals for yourself and turn your weaknesses into strengths; do not be afraid of failure. A positive attitude is key in the business world. That is what I learned based on these two lectures, the Humor and the Team Effectiveness Profile Analysis lecture. I would definitely take them both into account when facing the real world of my future

The activities include, the Team Conflict Strategy workbook exercise, the Positive-Feedback exercise, and the pervious lectures we have gone over in class. As stated before, this course taught me a lot regarding teamwork and I felt that my team and I really worked well together to accomplish the best final projects that were assignment to us in this course. I talked about how I felt about our first presentation in pervious journals. When it comes to our second presentation, I felt that we have done just as well of a job. We worked very hard on this final presentation. We met up together about twice every week leading up to the second presentation and we would accomplish a lot every time we met. Everyone would contribute ideas and we worked as a team to give it our best effort by assigning everyone a position on our responsibility charts. In the end, I will definitely miss our team so much. This team was by far, was the best group of people I have ever worked with throughout my college career, and I was so lucky to have them as my team members throughout this semester in my Team Development Workshop
