Team Work In The Nursing Field

Nursing is an ever evolving field. With resources such as IHI training nurses are able to remain up to date on the various skills and methods of nursing. Some ways in which the IHI training provides a better understanding of patient safety, improves teamwork and communication and how to provide care that ensures the dignity and respect of each client is valued. When insuring patient’s safety it is important to follow all of the policy and procedure of where ever it is that you are working. It is important to know your scope of practice and working within those boundaries. On any floor of a hospital it is important to have a cohesive team. Team work is vital in nursing. It is important to keep a positive work environment and help your coworkers when you need their help. Each patient it an individual with needs and wants, however it is important to remember that these people are all humans who have rights and need to be treated with respect and dignity. You should be conscious of each person’s beliefs and culture and be sensitive to those beliefs.

I jumped up and ran to the room only to have a nurse yell to me to grab the crash cart. I ran and to get the crash cart only to see another nurse there already bringing it back to the room.
