“I wish you were dead” ,”now im feeling persecute lets get out of here” .Technology can be our best friend, and technology can also be the biggest gruesome part of our lives. It interrupts our own story, interrupts our ability to have a thought or a daydream, to imagine something wonderful, because we're too busy using technology. In Bradbury’s collection of short stories The Illustrated Man, Bradbury explores society’s use of technology. In The Veldt the parents George and Lydia bought a nursey for their kids. The nursery could do anything the kids wanted to see or happen. In The Rocket man, a man has a wife as well as son named Doug, his job takes away the time from seeing his family, he goes to space for a tremendously amount of time and only spends three months on earth. Doug says “his father ship had fallen into the sun”. Doug’s father’s died flying into the sun ,this caused the mother to go into a deep depprestion she didn’t go out in the day, This was tering the family apart. In the middle of the story, Doug and his father is discausing space. The Rocket man says “don’t ever be a rocketman because when your out there you will want to be down here”,you never feel at home anywhere, when he’s never home his family his family is tearing about by him always going back to space for a long period of time without being able to communicate with them. In The Rocket man story a rocket man has a wife and a son and his job is driving their family apart.Bradbury is saying that technology that always having technology is bad because it can lead to dangerous situations. In The Veldt Bradbury shows how technology can over power you and distract you. Also in the Rocket Man Bradbury displays technology is also a struggle because in the Rocket Man a husband of a wife and child his job takes away from his family and earth
