Can you imagine the sheer horror the people living in the states of Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Florida between the years 1974-1978 had because Ted Bundy was on the loose? When people heard that Ted Bundy was on the loose, they were frightened of the things that may happen to them or to the people they knew. Ted Bundy was a 42-year-old man who would kill and rape people until he died in the electric chair. While people may think there are other criminals that are more infamous, Ted Bundy is the most infamous criminal because he was a rapist, serial killer, and necrophiliac, Ted Bundy also escaped prison on multiple accounts, and he was his own lawyer for his trial. He would murder his victims by raping them, strangling and mutilating his victims. These murders would take place between the years of 1974 and 1978. The locations of Ted Bundy’s murders were Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Florida. Someone who was a help in his case was his most famous girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepof. She ultimately helped catch and arrest Ted Bundy. This evidence shows how crazy and scary a person Ted Bundy was and is. This is one of the main reasons people know about or have heard about Ted Bundy. Another reason Ted Bundy is the most infamous criminal is because he escaped prison. He also escaped custody in court. One of the ways Ted Bundy escaped prison was by crawling through the duct. After Ted Bundy crawled through the “ducting he got into one of the guards' apartments”(Katiecouric). He then put on the clothes of the guard and then escaped being imprisoned. When Ted Bundy was in prison, he would practice jumping from his bunk bed and trying different landings to reduce the risk of injury.
